Let the Snow Show

In this image the snow is very visible, snowing sideways into the picture. On a windy day it can be tempting to stand with your back against the wind, but the snow is more visible if you turn 90 degrees and stand with your shoulder against the wind. Try out slow(er) shutter speeds. The slower the shutter speed, the longer "stripes" of snow. You need to use a lenshood, and bring a micro fibre cloth to clean your lens continuously.

The Cone Heads in Digital SLR Photography Magazine

I was pleasantly surprised when digital SLR Photography contacted me and asked if they could print this picture in the March 2009 edition of the magazine. Yes, Yes, Yes please!
The picture was taken an early morning in Ullevålsveien in Oslo. The sun was very low and the street was wet. Probably because the street was sloping slightly, the head became sharp, but reminded me of the Cone Heads from Saturday Night Live. So the series was called The Cone Heads.

My first solo exhibition

The exhibition takes place today at Shoe Longe in Grünerløkka, Oslo. The picture on the poster is a reflection that is turned upside-down.
